Default Stalling when cold

Hi all,

When driving to work this morning the revs on my bugeye were all over the place and when leaving it on tick over it would stall after the revs moved up and down a few times.

any ideas?

Thanks

how much are they to change? is there anywhere near brighton that could diagnose it without costing my months wages? its just cut out of a roundabout when the revs dropped low to stop but that was after 5 miles or so so shouldnt it be warm by then? thanks

If the revs are up and down then it stalls on idle i'd put my money on the afm. You could try cleaning it with some electrical cleaner before buying a new one, worth a try!

right gave it a clean today and also took out a paper gasket that someone had put in to see if that was restricting airflow but it still seemed to have fits of reving up and down so how much are new afms? would this be the reason for me getting 20 mpg on a non turbo impreza?
