missfire under load
hiya guys, after some help...
my impreza (turbo 2000 my00) was off the road for a month (driving ban ooops), didnt move/ do anything with her jus checked she started! anyway whilst she wasnt being driven i took the chance to get the clutch done somebody else drove her to the garage, but said there was a bit of a missfire? thought it was a bit weird so had the plugs and leads done at the same time.
so started driving again and under heavy load just when its on boost judders like a bugger in dosent clear? drive without using the turbo (before 3000rpm) and its ok?? any ideas? i thought poss maf sensor?
any help greatly welcomed!
thanks in advance

I agree with the above.
I assume that the missfire wasn't there before you parked her up & if this is the case then it's probable that the "bit of a missfire" that your friend experienced was due to the engine being started and stopped on occasions without being driven, causing the plugs to foul.
My first thought on your current situation would be that the plugs that have been fitted may not have been gapped correctly to 0.7mm as this would cause a missfire under load, it would be worth checking one of them before you go down the route of spending money on things like the MAF sensor etc.
