Default 3" or 2.5" Exhaust?

I recently had a full 3" system fitted to my V4 Type R , this included a HS Sports Cat downpipe with 3" exit and a full 3" revolution system.

Ive found the car has lots its rapid urgency, presumably to a loss of back pressure but has found a load of a mid-top end power, however i prefer it to be more fiesty from the start as top end things arent really my thing, hence why i bought a Type R.

Would changing back to a 2.5" system be the better thing? the engine is pretty much standard and wont be having a standalone ECU added, so cant be remapped...

Ive just put a swap up for the revolution on the forsale bit..

leave the stocks 3" pipe and just replace the muffler with a chamber type to give it some more low end torque

the stocks? the stock pipe was 2.5" bore...not quite sure what you mean, well i do in principal, what backboxes where you thinking of?
