Default BOTTOM END KNOCKING!!! REBUILD???

Hi i have a 1996 v2 sti which the bottom end is knocking so im going to rebuild it but to a higher spec as i dont see the point in doing it back to stock, so can anyone give me some advice on what to upgrade and let me know what parts i will need to do a rebuild? i thankyou in advance, brad

Hi mate Contact WMS on this site,our P1 engine went and he was fast,reliable and the engine he built us was superb.

You need the entire engine cleaning out, and it can be a big job to get all the debris out of there, you do not reuse anything, it has to be all new or you can be throwing money away, and go for the uprated jdm twin scroll crank which is grooved and nitrated, some people call it a version 9 crank but these are different to the uk cranks, either that or go to a reputable engine builder.

Oh and you need to find out what caused the engine to fail in the first place or your wasting your time and money

i just had mine done at engine tuner 2-3 week turn around and mine was supposed to be complicated so for yours maybe less
