We can't answer that question for you, it's not like any of us can magically see inside your engine via the power of the internet.

For starters we don't know what sort of nick your engine was in before you fitted the MBC. Assuming that it is, and assuming you're using tidy fuel, a 5% increase in boost target shouldn't push a UK car over the edge (assuming a TD04 equipped car - what MY is yours?).

However, you have to bear in mind that with a manual boost controller you lose the boost tapering that would normally happen above 5400rpm, and with an MBC you'll often get it spooling quicker at the bottom end, and giving more pressure on part throttle too. All can, especially if combined with other minor faults, cause bigger problems. Also don't forget that with an MBC, if your ECU should decide to go into limp mode for any reason, you will still (depending on the fault) be able to develop full boost.

It is probably fine, but ultimately the only person in a position to tell authoritatively whether your engine is running safely is you - with some simple instrumentation like AFR and knock monitoring, plus basic stuff like examination of the spark plugs from time to time.

Again it probably is, but on the other hand, some of the stuff that goes wrong with these cars starts small and gets worse - and often can't be picked up by the naked eye or ear, even an experienced one.

As mentioned above, the best person to make sure a car is running fine is its owner, you know more about it than any of us so the best we can do is help you help yourself. To give yourself some confidence that everything's nominal, and to pick the most serious problems up early, look at some instrumentation that'll help you tell what's going on inside the engine - a knock monitor and AFR meter would be two excellent places to start, followed by an oil pressure gauge.
