Default Running with cats when mapped for decat

I am putting a catted downpipe and probably the first cat in to get it through the French MOT.
The car has been mapped for a 3" total decat system.
Other than restricting the gas flow/power what else will it do?
If it safe to run it like this?
I don’t plan on running it on boost but if I have to warm the cats up a bit I may need to.
Appreciate some answers from people that know and not just guessing

salut mec
sorry for our english fellow mates, but it's easier to explain in french for 2 french speaking peoples
cheers all

I am English not French I just live here I speak some French but it’s not brilliant
I need somebody that has knowledge of mapping/tuning if possible or has been advised on this by an expert for their own car.

I did this exact thing recently to get my car sharked! The only worrying side effect was a smoking cat pipe!!! but then i fadn't driven the car for 8 months to i couldn't resist. Just don't hoon it or you'll kill the cat quick...

Should be ok for normal driving though. They don't tend to like rich mixtures and excessive heat so keep it to a minimum.
