Default Classic steering pump

V2 steering pump is leaking, so much so that i cant see where. Can anyone point me in the right direction and give me a remedy to cure it.

I know the later classic pump is the better option but with me saving for a EJ257 i cant fork out the cash now.

I had a terrible problem with mine (V2 WRX/round pot) it was leaking onto the engine and when I drove it white smoke would come out of my scoop like a locomotive
If your lucky it will be the pipe's split as mr flipsone stated but if your un-lucky like me the only way you will cure it is to change the P/s pump & reservoir. This is how I solved mine...£80 from API Impreza for a totally re-conditioned pump/reservoir.
If you can upgrade it to the later version that would be what I recommend, maybe you'll be able to get a second hand one for less than £80 and you won't have to worry about it again. Goodluck
