the only thing that will happen with a VF turbo and antilag is turbo failure.

The VF series are not the stongest and TBH are that fast spooling antilag is pointless.

I seen a friend go through 4 VF's in a year as he loved the sound of antilag!

A MY95 does not use a VF turbo ... launch control and the als come as one firmware upgrade, obviously you use what you want to use, but your turbo should be a Mitsubishi TD05, no problem with that. Set up correctly als will give you a distinct improvement in turbo "punch" when runing hard through the gears, it will get in the way of normal driving, however thats why I fit the on-off switch.

dooby-do, seeing as you have the wrong MY-turbo on and would need to get a TD05 back in there to be strong enough to handle the LC/ALS... Then perhaps a good idea would be to get a TD05 18g - or even 20g! - (assuming appropriate supp. mods too) and remap it, so as to "kill two birds with one stone" i.e. add some worthwhile extra power/torque while you're at it?

Just a thought...

Also the vf35 is strong enough to take it, if you had an older vf then caution is needed but the newer vf turbos are fairly strong

can fit a td05 18g 29g as still running standard internals
and been advised it would put to much stress on my engine hence why i i stuck with a vf35.
like said i have the option to have lc and al to my car.
but as many wont do it if its going to trash my car.
so jolly green monster is the turbo strong enought to take it or am
i best steering clear of it....

Question

What makes the VF2* series more fragile than the 3*? Do the 2*s have a 270deg thrust bearing; the 3*s a 360 one, or something?

Nathan, I think the ave. RRP is £895 +VAT. Also the ALS/LC s/w add-on is £150 +VAT:-
