Hi, I have a 2004 STI WR1 and recived my new 3 inch exhaust system c/w 100 cell cat on the down pipe. Cant wait to get it fitted and let the scoob roar!!

Was just wondering if i fitted the exhaust and run the car for a couple of days for work would this damage anything like the turbo before the car is mapped for the new exhaust and would the engine management light come on because of the bigger diameter?

or

Should i just wait and fit the exhaust just before i get the car mapped?

Help and advise is much appriciated guys!!

So long as you drive it sensibly there is little chance of any damage, go chasing a Veyron and that's down to you.

CEL may come on as the "cat efficiency" will be out of OEM spec., mine did !
