Default LED Sidelights, wont work....

Hi all,
Iv just got my UK300 and im just doing some little mods.
I got some led sidelights but they dont work, iv tried each and every way of fitting them but they just wont light up.

Do I need special ones or something like that?

Cheers.

Hi, I know they need to be installed the correct way round for polarity reasons, but it sounds like you've already tried both ways - I presume these are the small wedge type bulbs? Might be worth trying them in another car's sidelights to see if its the new bulb - as far as I know there's nothing strange about the sidelights (apart from the parking light switch )

hhm, They are the little twist in bulbs that look like tiny house bulbs.
Il try them in another car and see if they work.
I didnt know if they needed a resitor or something.

right - bayonet style... might be worth checking the polarity of the sidelight itself with a meter to make sure that its the right way round for the LED, just in case for some reason the centre connector in the bulb housing is -ve and the LED centre connector needs +ve - given that LEDs almost always work then its bound to be something like that I reckon

I know the resistor is used in some cases to prevent the check bulb warning lamp from coming on and to ensure indicators work properly, but I'm running the wedge type LED sidelights in my classic with no resistors if that helps
