running in engine got rid of the resonator snorkle and changed the i.c to the STI6 intercooler. i now have a whistle on boost i cant really give it the boot but it seems to hold low boost not planing on trying high boost till mapped.

thing is with running in the block n gearbox ect. i dont actualy remember what it sounded like on boost and have never heard it with no resonator

 

I'm assuming you have an induction kit fitted? Could just be the turbo you are hearing clearer?

What does the whistle sound like? doesn't sound like someone blowing across the top of a bottle does it?

 

no more like a turbo noise just seems v loud like it hope its correct :-) like a ssshhhh constant when on positive boost

 

mine makes that noise , like a rushing of air when on boost, only started since i have removed resonater and fitted a induction kit and FMIC , i thought it was a boost leak , but mine holds boost , so put it down to the induction kit.

Yup induction kits make a wicked shhhhhh noise when the car comes on boost and it is only emphasised by a front mount, I love mine

I think the words Paranoid and Subaru go hand in hand don't they??
