Steering gone heavy and grinding noise
Hi
Over the last couple of days my steering has gone heavy and there is a nasty grinding noise coming from the drivers side front wheel, i did post some thing a few days ago, but it went, but has now come back twice as bad, i oringally thought it was the wheel bearing, but i took it to a mechanics and they couldnt find any thing wrong with it, every time i go round the corner it feels like i got a buckled wheel and is about to fall off
any ideas what this could be?

i will stand corrected but.... it sounds like your hub has made its way loose. this sort of thing happened to me and i ended up having to replace the hub. i got a second hand one for £50 and touch wood, has been fine. hope this helps.

Same as evo bizz - mine had exactly the same symptoms and the power steering fluid had leaked out through a hole in the membrane inside - the top of the power steering pump unbolts and there is a rubber mebrane inside. replaced, refilled, good as new.
