Default CAR DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER - which one?

hi im goin to have to buy a CAR DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER cos ive had this problem for about 3 weeks, which one do I need? it need to read air flow too.

Its a subaru wrx 1994.

I was goin to get the obd2 but read they only work on petrol cars 2001+

use the manual plugs already fitted to the car www.scoobypedia.co.uk under the ECU heading has a picture of the plugs ,they may be taped up so can be an **** to find

alright

already have comes up with no codes.
Been told i been to measure the airflow to the engine.

Your local Subaru dealer or specialist should have a Select Monitor (basically a diagnostic tool).
If the MAF is a problem get them to test the voltage across it or borrow a brand new one.

I use a simple but very good scanning tool.

Scangauge II.

I run mine live all the time as you can read temps adn ignition timing etc.
