Default swapping a td04 to td05

I have an auto '95 wrx imprort, and from what I can gather it runs the smaller td04 turbo (how can I check this?). If I plumbed in a td05 will I have to get my ecu remapped or get another ecu or anything?

Is swapping a turbo over a major pain in the backside?

if its a import im pretty sure youll already be running a td05 is it a saloon or a wagon

changing turbo over aint to bad once youv done it a few times but the first time its a pain in the backside

on your turbo it tells you on a little id plate itll tell you what turbo it is ,steven

import wagons only had td04 throughout the entire classic wrx range.
You could just change the ecu for a saloon ecu BUT since it's an auto i'm not sure if it would work with auto box.

well my model is a wierd one. it's a 'gravel express'. The suspension is the softer 'sport' type, and the seats are slightly different from a normal wrx. it has a ej20g engine, with my only mods being a baileys dump valve (which I have had no probs with, unlike alot ot peeps in here) and an omp panel filter. I cant seem to find a diffinitive answer on what power its putting out, so I might drag its sorry *** to a rolling road (if I can find one in devon). The only reason I would want to fit a td05 would be to get rid of all dump valve duties as I hear they are a bit more hardcore and can take the 'chit chat effect'.
