COMPRESSON ON CLASSIC STI
Can anyone tell me the compresson on my car (97 sti ra)or what it should be,,,
mine is reading 132/130psi on driver side...then 125/115psi on passenger side due to HG failure / work in progress....
is the 130/132psi good or should it be higher

Your replacing both sides right ? compression will also depend on ring seal and valve seal 130++ and even on all cylinders is a good start, without knowing millage etc.

As Un-Ink stated above - depends on mileage,valve sealing,condition of the bores,rings etc etc.
The norm would be approx 140 ~ 170 psi on an engine in good order, a freshly built engine would normally show approx 150 psi (dependant on spec) on initial cranking and not run in/bedded in.
