I use Comma Hyperclean and Jetwash. Then get to work with it using a wire knot brush on a grinder, it goes all shiny. yum yum.

The pro's i believe dunk it in a hot bath with toxics and i have seen a non spinning washing machine type think as well.

Oh and for a cowboy method - i have used and seen other people use mr muscle oven cleaner hehe. Does work although it may sound silly.

All the above was without any internals though. So probably not much help.

Er! Your talking about "cleaning" the inside of an engine, are you takin the p*ss? Mr Team somethin wotever! If your serious then try some jiff bathroom cleaner an use an old angle grinder fer the stubborn bits (a hammer and cold chiesel are perfectly fine but will take a little longer jus give that hammer a proper swing) . let us know how you go on

No, bodgeit, im not taking the ****, want me to explain clever bollox?

iv bought a block, in need of degreasing and as its a whole short engine, was wondering if its alright to chuck the lot in a tub of degreaser or not. which i cant see a problem, as whatever is inside is coming out anyway.

if the engine was dirty inside i think id have bigger issues dont you?
