Hi everybody!
I've just finished fitting a ninja sport cat to my 52 plate bugeye wrx. (Loved having to cut down the heat sheild by the way!!)
Everything went ok but i've found a get a very high pitched whistle from the engine bay when throttle is applied. I made sure all pipes, hoses, and linkages were ok before putting back the intercooler. A friend of mine said this is normal, as less restriction in the exhaust will allow turbo spool to be heard. But something in my head has got me worried maybe i've missed something or overlooked something!
Anyone else fitted one or have any advise???

I get a whistle as the turbo spools up but that is the sound of the turbo. You could have a leak somewhere, to check the exhaust side AT IDLE get someone to press a wad of cloth on the tail pipe this will allow you to hear if the exhaust is leaking. On the induction side all you can easily do is try to re-seat the hoses and clamps squarely.
