You have a conversion kit fitted to these already, you know that don;t you? Injectors are Phase 2 and the aluminium cap at he front is a converter which allows you to fit phase 2 injectors into phase 1 or 1.5.

Although i would say that your missing an o'ring off the adapter as there should be one between the mesh and the adapter, if you know what i mean.

I was tempted to mention the tumble drier yesterday but resisted. Did you manage to get the caps to fit though tweaks?

they were just tighter to fit in the phase 1 rails and seemed to go in the phase 1.5 rails with alot less force the caps arn't deep enough to fit properly over the top of the injectors but will hold them in with slightly longer bolts, also the plugs are tight fit !!

You tend to find that in the conversion kits

Also come with the following:

8x Stainless Steel Screws
8x Stainless Steel Spring Washers
8x Aluminium Spacers - these are for the end caps

Check here for things you will need to get the caps to fit...>>> Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply

£30 for the kit from Carl so definitely no bank account breaker. At least you will then have everything you need and can forget about the injectors once they're installed.

Good Luck Mate.

Question

Well, I sure hope they're 740cc ones, as I've recently bought the same style/coloured phase 2 ones aswell!

OP, when you get them mapped, can you let me know if they are defo 740 onesm (based on the mapper's comment/how much they flow). It'll put my mind at rest lol...

It should never be assumed that they are 740's as 550's also look identical. I only said 740's as they are the most common.

If going 550 i would go power enterprise or summat.

Sure.

I have no reason to think mine ARE 550s, as the seller did advertise them as 740s etc, and seemed clued up etc etc... (Bloody hope so!)

Same here, as my next round of mods will see me to 320-340+ (so 550s should cope)...... But I bought them (as 740s) because there''s a chance I'll mod further later on to get to 400+...

Lol they're not actually up for sale yet. But then i couldn't sell them to anyone as i haven;t had them checked/flowed to ensure all is ok. I did pay top dollar for them though but i'm not willing to take chances.

All should be ok with those babies you got there though. I might actually buy a set of 740 nismos myself (so look out for some for me CHEAP), i have a set of 440's here too which i know are ok for sure.

Does it have any modded parts on it?

Does it have a silicone turbo intake (whether homemade lol or a genuine Samco pattren part) complete with the 2 oil breathers and DV recirc port?

Its got the original crappy subaru intake hose. Not much use them things. To fragile and beginning to crack where the hose clamp had been. If you think of anything else just send me a PM mate and i will do my best.

That's exactly what happened to my original one - massive split around the DV port's base. Mind, it was about 15 years old at the time and therfore brittle as hell. Plus the OEM one has got that restrictive-to-airflow flexi area to it.

I do HAVE a Samco reducer hose.... BUT it's without the idle hose/oil breather ports and the DV port (I want to retain the recirc)

The recirc port was bunged on mine and the silicon compressor to intercooler hose was running a outlet to a HKS direct to air DV.

I could go BOV recircless, but have already bought all the requisite hoses/clamps for when I get the Hyperflow FM fitted.

Plus I'm too old for any BOV #whooosh#-based shenanigans.
