DV hose restrictor Apexi power intake?

Default DV hose restrictor Apexi power intake?

Hi, just a quick one, why do apexi feel the need to supply a DV restrictor to fit between the tmic hose and the DV?
Im not using it anyway, as I'm going fmic, but just curious

On my early version (93wrx) the instructions where also for a Legacy perhaps they use it.

Right, that would make sense as there are 2 drawings, one with, one without the restrictor.

Don't know if this is still relevant but just bought and installed the apexi with resonator delete. The restrictor is to give better blow off sound through the intake as it recirculates. If you still have it pop it in and note the difference.
