Default Ecu advice

Hi I was wondering if anybody can help I have a Jdm WRX V3 (GF8D58D) sportwagen the one with 240bhp can I swap the ecu from the 280bhp 4 door v3 (GC8D48D) or would it be better to get the car remapped thanks for any advice.

Different turbos so the ecu will most probably not be happy running it.
Personally go for a remap ,it's more expensive but it will be tailored for your car.

no chance of a remap on your car unless you go for an aftermarket ecu version 3&4 cars cannot be mapped.

thanks for the replys is the aftermarket ecu the best way to go i was looking at fitting a sports cat and pannel filter, the car came with 3"cat back system and i thought the best way to free up extra power would be the ecu upgrade.

Aftermarket is the only way to go at the moment.

If on a 'budget' then cheapest way in to an aftermarket ECU is a 2nd hand A'PEXi Power FC (...WITHOUT Commander )...
