Default JDM STi V7 ECU/ UK STi V7 ECU

I have a JDM STi V7 and I'm looking for an Ecutek'd ECU for it.

I have the chance of a UK STi V7 ECU that has been mapped.

Will it be ok to use? It was off a UK car that had the same mods as mine. I know it will need tweeked for my car if it does fit, I'm just wondering if it'll fit and be ok to run 'till I get it mapped to suit my car?

Talk to Andrew Carr about all the goodies he can add to the new-age ecu....

He's a mapper based in the north West, you don't state where your are based,

but he can add....

Launch Control
Valet Mode
Two stage boost control
"Warm-up" limiter

And it's non-Ecutek so way cheaper.

HTH

^That's only if the ECU has been patched, at the moment the only EDM ECU with the full list is a WRX. He'll be able to add Launch Control, that's been available for a while.

Shocker, ECUTek taking the lead from the OS community. They adding FFS to the 32-bit ECU's?

Not wanting an arguement either, just interesting they're taking a lead from OS. Is Speed Density on the horizon for ECUTek?

I had a look at the two ROM's, I wouldn't, they're quite different. Someone that's tried it might say different though.

it could be done but it is more work than just remapping it.. if the ecu sufficently cheap enough to make it worth the hassle?

Whilst admiring the work of the OS community....

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the JGM himself.
