hi all ive owned my wrx 2.0turbo t reg wagon for 2 weeks now and this is the 1st problem that ive had ! wondering if you guys can help me ?? on way home today i changed down to 3rd gear and acclerated hard the car sudenly lost all power and engine check light came on the car will drive normaly but when boost comes in it cuts power and car jolts hard . but when off boost it drives fine if that makes sence ..ive also just replaced the boost solenoid valve witha new one from subaru but i think the map sensor next to it is the cause any help will be grate thx chris

 

Defo sounds like over boost to me, is the actuator working ok? I have known them to stick shut before now.

 

boost cut off faulty actuator i banged wd in the slider and it seemed to cure my boost cut hope it helps u

 

The wastegate rods have been known to jam within the exhaust covers therefore do a quick inspection around the turbo wastegate area.

If this is not the issue then replace the boost solenoid valve with the old one and see if theres any change.

 

would accuator cause check engine light to come on ?? ive just been out and soaked it in wd40 and still same even when reving in nutral it will rev freely till turbo kicks in soon as the slightest bit of boost comes on its hold back say 4k rpm

 

i put car in to code test mode and following codes came up i think i did it correct is so wat are these codes and wat part is associated to them thx again chris
