Default closed deck engine rebuild

i have just got hold of a closed deck engine from a 94 plate wrx import,i will be rebuilding this over the next year as a spare/new engine for my modded 94 plate classic i have,i have already got hold of a set of sti ra heads and cams which i shall be porting etc,wanted to know what sort of power the crank is good for??also have seen that diffrent cranks have front,middle and rear thrust,can someone tell me the difference in these,the bottom end i have fitted in the car at the moment is a sti 8 one,what would that be??will be replacing the bearings etc with some acl ones and was thinking of getting some eagle rods and wisco pistons too,if the bores are ok i'm not sure if to get a set of oversize pistons or stick standared size back in,or go down the route of having it bored out to a 2.2 if that possible,what are my options??????????also going to get hold of a set of arp headbolts and cometic headgaskets,thinking of using 1.3mm ones????????will also be replacing the oil pump for a modded one and the modine too to be on the safe side,any info would be much appreciated as i want this to be a strong engine plus it gives me something to do in the garage over the winter,lol..

why not speak to enginetuner about having it stroked to 2.1? im sure them guys know what theyre on about?
