Default brembo brakes onto classic

hi, im looking to put some brembo brakes off the new impreza (2001-2005 model) onto my 96 sti version 2 as my brakes are sh*te! just wanted to know if these brakes will bolt straight on or is there like an adapter kit you need? will just having the front brembos make a big differance or am i better off getting the rears too?
cheers

They bolt straight on, nothing needed.

I did fit the bigger m/c off a sti8 too, which made the pedal loads better but its not a must.

You might need different alloys depending on what you have at the moment due to the clearance needed.

The fronts bolt straight up with out any mods + new rotters. Things that you should consider getting are braided lines, slotted rotters and flush your brake fluid. You also need to make sure that your wheels will clear the Brembo’s. so if you have classic mags then you will need to upgrade them first.

If you want to replace the rear’s as well there is an adaptor plate that your can buy. You don’t have to replace the rear’s but it look better and hotter when you do

I hope this helps

think better off getting a braided lines/slotted rotors and after market pad as the brembo are way too heavy. have brembo b4 but return them back to 4pot 2 pot instead

they will bolt straight onto the front but remember you will need the brembo bolts to fit them the standard ones ar'nt long enough.

Chances are you don't have the alloy wheels to clear them, so that will add to your cost.
Your best bet is to look in the group buy section where there are a couple of 330mm kits for sale (new) at just under 900 quid which will fit with (hopefully) no hassle.

Can anyone confirm the piston size of the uprated brembos. As ive heard it can imbalance the braking bias between front and rear causing the rear to lock under hard braking...?
