Lightbulb Modify WRX to the next stage?

Should I go to the next stage! I have a nice 05WRX just covered 30k with 1 owner FSSH etc etc..

Since i purchased the car I have fitted Brembo's all round, Tein springs with Powestations setup, the Full PPP (sourced in bits) HID's and fitted 18" PPF7's. To be honest im not that impressed with the difference the PPP made, however I was impressed driving a STi PPP.

So I am thinking along these lines for mods...

Sti Top Mount
Up Pipe
PPP Sti Down pipe
Fuel Pump
Pink Injectors?
New Panel Filter
Remap

There is even a Sti Turbo for sale at the min at £300ono but this is really going further than i wanted to...

Getting these bits over time at the right price should set me back around £1200 I can get my old ECU Remapped and sell on the PPP ECU to get some money back..

Question is, how much power would i get/how much better would it be than my PPP, am I running the risk of blowing it up or do i cut my losses and buy an Sti... which if I sell mine for say 8k? and buy a same age Sti for say 11.5k? the cost is 3.5k - considerably more...

I am after some thoughts, I know I have asked similar before as have many many others! Just after some opinions for my situation :-)

cheers

Leon

depends if you want an sti before you commit more money to the wrx, but the list you quote is about right with the sti turbo. also budget in an sti scoop and undertray, or you could just fit up pipe, down pipe, walbro pump, a set of pinks and a VF35 and then get a remap, the WRX intercooler with ppp hose will clear 300bhp and save a fair amount of cash.

Bloody hell sounds like a lot of time and hassle to me
Would you not be better off getting the STI you mentioned, and get that mapped

yeah ive just read through an old post i put up about this and most say Sti .. however lots of people have succes with modding WRX's.... I think im going to seriously look at swapping, get some ideas of how much it will really cost, its just a pain as to afford the change id need to sell mine private at full price and get a good deal private on a Sti! but i need my car for work so being without for weeks isnt an option!

off to pistonheads and subaru sites to see what i can find! lol

WRX its a great start but tbh i think the STI is a better all round car.
if you shop around you can get some really cheap hire cars to fill the gap when buying and selling, just go for something very small and stupid

Purely a matter of how long you are likely to keep the car, IMHO.

If you are often changing, do it now.

If it is a "keeper" up-grade yours to 330 bhp and enjoy.

P.S. Mine has been in the garage for over seven years now !
