Default have i paid for the licence?

intrested in a remap. i currently have the ppp, so my question is how much should i be paying for a remap as i thought i had upgraded software already. can anyone shed any light on this as my train of thought is A) full decat and leave the remap as i believe it is designed to be fairly conservative (although possibly a risky option) B) remap C) full decat and remap. i am aware that option C is probably the best but also the most costly. hence my original question. many thanks Lee. ps anyone else done this and what figures should i expect with an 06 2.5 sti

Hi ya mate.
I went with your option C on my Spec D (2.5 litre STI 2006) , the only option in my book.
Mine made 340 BHP with a nice, smooth ,safe map but could have gone to 350 plus with a little more boost
Cost was £630 for the map plus licence.
£75.00 for the rolling road and print out. ( this was great fun and good to watch)
DE cat Hayward & Scott two piece £250 ?? £80.00 fitting.
Not cheap but the car runs great and well within its limits happy days

Although prodrive use the same Ecutek software, unfortunatly the ppp licence is a load once etc.. not a standard tuner licence so it need a standard tuner licence added when first mapped.

a) not worth doing as it is likely to boost spike and the sti and especially 2.5 sti needs more car when doing mods which are not mapped it
b) should see good increase with just a remap on ppp exhaust
c) will see the best power and torque and usable car but yes is the most costly
