The front mount usually gives about a extra 20-30 bhp im told not sure if thats fact but since i have just had this done the car is amazing compared to having a top mount.

No you wont need a remap with it.
but if you do go with it and already run at 372 then your going to be pushing 400 which will be extreme and in most cases more than enough.

I had a fmic fitted and was strongly advised to get a remap. This was on a classic btw, i imagine its the same on a newage. I also didnt get 20-30+bhp.

front mounted intercooler will give a wee bit more bhp but will let the turbo be maxed out to its full potential and better cooling

Fitting an FMIC without a remap is very unwise. You might get away with it but that is it. You are getting away with it. With the FMIC you can run in areas of the map that your car could not achieve with the TMIC hence the need for a remap and more fuel.
Run without a remap and you will be running weaker and therefore run the risk of DET or picking up a piston in the bore.

An ecutek (assuming your car is a 99 or newer) remap will be fine mate, at the very least just to make it safe and to get the most out of it. Have you been mapped already?

remap it is then. the main reason i ask is that scoobyclinic done the work on my car and it will be cheaper for them to remap as they remapped it last time but they are miles away from me. ow well needs must!.

They may not be that much cheaper than someone nearer mate, i paid £280 for my second map. JGM comes to you i understand, so you save fuel money there to start with

Your first Ecutek remap fee includes the cost of a licence and after that any Ecutek mapper can remap your car at a very much reduced fee. I think most mappers charge much the same and depending on your geographical location you should be able to find someone relatively close. What is important however is to get a mapper that will do a good job for you because as with everything else there are those that are prepared to spend the time to get the job right and those that lack knowledge or skimp on time.
Ecutek mappers include Bob Rawle at Swindon, Pat Herbron who operates from Scooby Clinic's premises but also travels to API, Warwickshire every Wednesday and Jolly Green Monster from Surrey? but offers a mobile service.
What is your location?

i had my remap done at scooby clinic so do you think i could have the next remap done at API as its nearer. i had a service at ZEN as its about 10 miles away they done a good job but as you say i would have to pay for another licence if i went their!

Hi Matty: We have Bob Rawle with us in Darlington Saturday and Sunday 22 and 23 August and we can map your car then.
If you want to proceed send me an email with your full spec, model and year to harveysmith1@btopenworld.com.
There are currently two slots left and I need a deposit of £50 which is applied against your mapping cost. Paypal to the email address above. An Ecutek without a licence is a total of £280 plus VAT.
