Would a 4bar map sensor be compatible with the avc-r? with my next engine im planning on running more than 2bar boost, so would be maxing out the current 3bar map sensor.

I thikn from memory the AVCR sensor maxes out at 2.4bar

there are setting changes in ETC relating to the map sensor but never tried / needed to alter.. on a car needing to run that high boost it is often the case that the engine management is capable enough to control the boost so avcr not required.

2.4 bar should be plenty enough, cheers once again Simon

Banny, you dont need it with Solaris. Sell the AVCR on and use the cal switch to change boost settings. That can run with a 4 bar map sensor - no probs.

Duncan I am sticking with the simtek for a while anyway, just to see how I get along with it but will probably change to the Solaris at some point.

The SimTek will also control boost perfectly well with switchable maps, and can be scaled for 4 bar or higher map sensors on request.
