Default new simtek with issues

hi all,
i have a 94 impreza with a lot of mods, i bought a simtek and fitted it ready to return for the remap as i needed to get the car to and from an MOT, but on fitting it i found that no3 injector was open all the time, and it ran like s+*t with no boost, i know it needs the remap but why is the no3 injector open constantly if its running on the standard base map? will the remap be able to sort it or is the simtek f+*/-d, thanks phil.

When JGM fitted mine, On first start up it ran like sh*t, until he had a play around with it, Didnt think you could buy a simtek as supply only,

i managed to buy one, so i could get it to run for the MOT, then when i got it legal take it for the remap, but if its running on 3 injectors im not so sure i want to drive it the 20 miles to get there, do you think the simtek is ok and can be sorted?

I would speak to JGM and see if he can sort no3 injector out for you (as he will know if its ecu issue or map) on the simtec and then go in for MOT. But surely if not mapped properly the motor will fail the MOT on emissions which is always a possibility.

Or stick with standard ecu if possible and get it mot'd on that and then Map.

Or PM JGM on here.

my car did'nt even get started until simon had changed some of the settings.

just another quick one have you fitted the temp sensor if you are running maf'less ? otherwise you will have starting issues.

As above, I'm sure the standard map wont pass the mot with emmisions anyway, Simon is always willing to help and has always got back to me quickly,
