Default 23v on no3 injector?

hi all, (the titles wrong its 12v not 23v)
my 95 sti has 12v on the number 3 injector, does it mean the injector is open all the time? what could have caused this and would it make it not boost properly, cheers phil.

but the 12v is normally only for a split second isnt it? just to open it correctly, the others have a fraction of a second but the number 3 one has a constant 12v, which is normal as my fuel pressure on ignition drops to 0 too.

if you were putting neg probe of volt meter on body say then on + side of inj con it would be perm (not 100% sure impreza switches neg) the best way would be to use a bulb on pins of inj con loom side. got any spare injectors? you would feel it clicking if someone was cranking for you

ah yes ill try an injector on the plug and see if it clicks, but if it doesnt, and it only clicks once, it means its staying on and would flood cylinder and spark plug, not making it fire? then not making it boost properly?
