Question Intermittent boost problem

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem which I originally thought was in my mind.......but have now decided is actually real!! Basically, some days my car feels proper quick, like it should be......and then other days it just seems not very impressive at all. I noticed the other night that it wasn't holding boost, it was gradually dropping off while my foot was flat down. Later on the same journey then, literally about 5 mins later, I put my foot flat down again and it would've held the boost alllllll day long.....I just ran out of road lol. So something must surely be wrong? One of my mates suggested wastegate sticking? It must be something like that to randomly happen some days and not others y'know? It's not a constant problem like a pipe has come off or something. I will shut up now because my knowledge of this is zero!

Thanks in advance for your help guys

i had similar problems and was adviced to clean my boost solanoid and boost lines with carb cleaner. i did this and the car is boosting fantastically and evenly everytime. this mite be worth a go. if you look through previous threads there are people telling you exactly how to clean it.
