Got a really strange problem with my clutch. When in traffic, and gently on and off the clutch, after about 45 minutes, the pedal goes rock hard and difficult to depress. The bit is also very high and feels like it could tart slipping (which it does if you manage to then get up to speed and floor it in fifth)...normal use the cluitch holds it and still stuffs if you do the age old method of keaving the car in 1st gear, handbrake on and dumping the clutch.
Is there a clutch cable? or is it hydraulic?
Also, going to reply my engine mounts for Group N ones, can anyone tell me the correct torque settings for the two mounts, the transmission mount, the pitch mount and subframe (for thw whiteline transmission bushes)
Cheers all..
oh car is a standard v4 sTI Type R..

cant help you with the torque settings mate but your clutch fault sounds like the cover is on its way out and is just getting worse when it expands with heat, unfortunately you need a new one sooner rather than later!
