Alright, ive had a look at my boost control solenoid and it looks a bit different to the one in the cleaning guide, is it still just a case of pull off both the bottom pipes and spray some brake cleaner in? Whilst its pulsing as per the guide.

Yep,thats all there is to it mate,just keep cleaning until it runs out clean,and make sure your put pipes back in right place!!
