anyone with a japspeed decat downpipe help
hi i recentenly fitted a japspeed decat downpipe on my 94 wrx purchased from 2fast2cool on ebay, but upon fitting it i found it a very tight fit, but now ive just come across a old group buy for these & the ones for the new age & im wondering if they've sent & ive fitted one off a new age it had no markings on the box or anything but mine only had the one bracket down the bottom? thanks

thanks for that mate i was getting abit worried as i looked at a group buy on here for the japspeed decats & shows pictures for classic & new age & the classic picture shows the 2 brackets & i thought they might of sent me the wrong one cause it was rather tight & still havent managed to line the one bracket up with the hole yet on the bottom section, ive emailed both japspeed & 2fast2cool just to double check though peice of mind

just checking your car spec out do you get much overboost or hit fuel cut with the polar chip & full decat? im running same setup & getting slight overboost so going to have to fit a dawes device to lower it

car has never over boosted or hit fuel car since the decat , does yours still have the restrictor in the boost return pipe if this has been removed it can cause over boosting.
Also i remember when i fitted my japspeed decat i did have trouble with the bottom bracket , and had to bend it a bit to line up , hope this helps

yes its still got the ristrictor pill fitted, ive checked all the usual boost hoses etc & got new plugs & coilpacks, ive got a prosport gauge which logs the peak boost which is tad over 18psi which is about what the fuel cut is i think on the polar chip, have you had yours rolling roaded at all?
think thats what ill probably end up doing then bending the bracket, cheers mark
