intake hose help

intake hose help
hi
just got a silicone intake hose form japspeed went to fit it and offered it up to the oe hose and looks like it wont fit under or between the power steering resivoir???
its on a v6 uk has anyone fitted one or no that if i fit it and compress the hose alittle will it be fine or is it defeating the point of fitting it!!
just a bit caucious as its going to be hard enough work getting the old one off then realising i cant fit the new one
any info or help will br great

Have no experience of the specific brand of hose you've got, but the interference between the PAS reservoir and non-standard turbo pipes is one reason why some choose to relocate the reservoir.
Provided it will physically fit into the gap, even if it gets a little squashed, and provided the pipe itself isn't a piece of cr*p, then it'll still likely flow better than the standard item. If it looks like fit will be marginal, you'll have to take a view on whether to go ahead or not. If in doubt, return it and get the proper Samco 99/00 one.

its the same as a samco 1 also heard that the samco1 is thinner and collapses under high boost dont want to go with relocating pas reservoir might leave it as just fitted vf22 and going 4 a remap at zen next friday so if i do it has to be befor then!! will see if anyone else has a idea
