help with turbo heat shield
I took off my standard heat shield after fitted the downpipe due to rattling... I know some of the people around think its useless, but still, I wanna keep some of the heat out of the engine bay.
are there any alternative better than the standard shield?? aftermarket or DIY..if possible i wouldnt like to reuse the standard shield. advice please..

I've made several heat shields out of this stuff:
Nimbus Motorsport – GII Heat Shield
Held in place with only 2 of the original 8 shield bolts, so it can be taken off easily but doesn't rattle.
I was a little worried that a full turbo blanket would hold too much heat in and lead to cracking.

all seen to be a quite a good product, is it true that all of these products should be used with conjuction of the original heat shield? or is it ok to run without it? I think it is a pain to put the original one back in.
quite fancy those Tracktive ones, becos it looks like quite easy to fit? no bolts etc?
