fitting 3 port solenoid from 2 port
#2
It obviously can't be a straight swap as you're replacing a two-port solenoid with a three port one, so yes, there's more to it otherwise where are you going to connect the third pipe?
There are two different ways to run the pipework of a three port - either bleed-off or interrupt. If you're changing the solenoid you're presumably planning ahead for a remap so probably best to ask your mapper which one he recommends and go from there.
If you're *not* planning ahead for a remap, the fitting question becomes moot, as you can't simply swap the hardware and expect the car to work - you need to alter the duty cycle tables in the ECU to compensate for the change to the physical boost control.
