bought my 2005 wrx 1 week ago and must admit i love it to bits! had a celica st205 gt4 import a while back but the scoob is just sooooo much better. standard i think apart from prodrive back box,however like another member mentioned they are a bit quiet! would fitting decat downpipe make louder?(aswell as power gain) also, is it a case of just fitting the down pipe or anything else need done just i read somewhere that a dash light illuminates when cat removed? cheers

yes sometimes the light does come on but can be taken off buy any good workshop

also the cat will have to be refitted anually for mot purposes.
but it will indeed improve the tone and power i have only decatted my centre pipe and that has improved the tone alot aswell as a slight amount of power

your car is fitted with 3 cats if im correct, up pipe..down pipe and centre cat.. plus a resonated section in the exhaust. a full deat exhaust will definatly improve the noise as for power you may see a little,and produce more boost, but it is likley that it will start to over boost,therefor ide say if you were to fully decat then get a remap so you can get the full potential out of your car plus it will be set up correctly.

i have a full decat and i didnt get any dash ( CEL) lights come on so you may be lucky. as for the mot some replace the cat for this to get it through,others just go to a ( friendly) garage
