as above i just fitted harveys ported headers and matched up pipe and he also gave me the cel fix for the egt sensor that was in the up pipe 2003 wrx engine so fitted took out for a small drive and very impressed with the diffrence infact was giving it the beans and blew an intercooler pipe off
so inever fitted the cel fix was waiting for the engine management to come on or worse and nothing!!?? is this normal car seemed to be running ok i will run 2 or 3 days and see if theres any change but i was expecting it to be on straight away is this normal or am i lucky!

 

The WRX ECU will throw an EGT missing CEL when it decides something is wrong LOL

The ECU is pretty clever and waits a while, usually about 5 engine starts and then on a long run it will light up

I guess the CEL fix is a resistor that you put into the loom near the drivers side suspension turret

well thats what i thought as well but harvey sent me a 3 wire connector that goes direct to ecu but its not fitted as yet as theres no cel and car is driving well also the fact that it looks a bit past my capabilities of fitting hehe
