Default Oil consumption per 1k miles.

Evening guys! done about 1400 miles since i bought my bug eye wrx, it hasnt leaked any oil but upon checking the dipstick i found it just below the minimum!!!!!!!!
I always warm the car up and let it idle after my journey.
I have to admit ive been driving it slightly entheusiastically shall we say, and i know turbo cars can consume oil more than na engined cars.
What do you guys think? oh and whats the best oil to put in these boxer engines?? (sorry for all the help asking....im a bmw tech by trade and thats where my brain lies with technical info!! hehe)
Thanks, Matt.

sounds a bit crazy! i dont ever top up oil between the 7500 mile interval,i drive quite inthusiastic aswell,so well worth investigating this as its using too much oil.could be your turbo seals are worn and it could be blowing it out the exhaust?

If your car is near standard, I'd go for a decent semi synthetic. Why pay for a top quality tri ester synthetic when it will be consumed during the combustion cycle?
