Default Scoob sounds terrible
As I pulled away from a set off lights yesterday my car gave out a mighty backfire,now it sounds like an old escort with the lifters gone,wot i mean is its tapping like crazy and its getting worse,ive stopped driving it,Anybody have an idea what it could be??? any help would be great

Does it sound like a bag of spanners? if so bottom end has gone and bearings may need replacing.

If it's only a slight knocking it may be the heads....but will only be able to diagnose it when you pull the engin eout.

might be a silly question but was there oil in the engine,and when it started making a noise was the oil light lit up when running
