Default sti engine in to my99 uk turbo

hi guys ive bought a sti engine out of a 97 car and im wanting to put it in my99 uk turbo ive got the turbo ecu and most of the engine just need to know if i need wiring harness and also if any one has any hints or tips to do it
any help would be great

Don't bother trying to fit it, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but a 97 into a 99 is not straight forward. The inlet manifold stud pattern is differnt and trying to change it over is really not worth the hassle. You could use the bottom end with your heads on though. Make sure you get the correct headgaskets (thickness).

im going to be replacing all the manifolds and gearbox etc i just really needed to know whether the looms are different and whether i need different mounts etc

Yes the wiring looms are differnt, as I have already said, it's not just a case of swapping the manifolds and looms. You will be better to swap your heads onto the STI bottom end, then it's dead easy, just use all your existing wiring manifolds etc.

will see how i get on might keep the heads in case i get an sti cause im using it for track days so may crash Lol1
