closed deck block early wrx

after sum advice iv got a 1992/1993 wrx import iv read on a few sites the early wrx had a closed deck block ,anyone know if this is true if so how can i tell thanks

Front of the engine,where the crank sensor is should be hatchmarkings + cdb OR to find out for definate take the heads off

Yes 92/93 wrx will be cdb , if still on original engine ,as above says look for the cross hatching marks by the crank sensor .
