Default Stronger internals needed??

I'm looking to increase the power on my 04 UK PPP and have had it checked out to start. It's running 260bhp with no mods. Am I right in thinking that if I want to break the magic 300bph without risking it blowing up I should really look at some stronger internals first? Looking to get it up to 320-330bhp.

No. Standard internals are usually fine at that level.

It's the gearbox that may cack itself with similar torque figures

Im hopefully going to be getting just over 400bhp (lower torque) this week, and my internals will be fine.

Currently running 355bhp and not had any problems.

I'm running 350/333lbsft on my 03 WRX and the gearbox has been fine at that.

it will be absolutely fine. I've been running 390 odd bhp on standard wrx internals + gearbox (different clutch, though) for the last year (8000 miles so far)
