Default MY99 Temp Sensor

MY99 UK Turbo 2000

Can anyone tell me where the temp sensor on above model is please? Also is there a simple test to determine whether its working properly or not?

Thanks
Pat

The water temp sensor is in the water cross pipe under the inlet manifold. There are two, one is for the ECU and the other is for the rad fans i think.
There is no inlet temp sensor on the MY99UK cars, only on the STi model.
