as above i have a set of heatwrapped ported headers and flow matched up pipe running a td04L already at 271bhp is there any point in fitting these without another turbo??
i do have a vf35 from a wr1 here but was thinking of selling it??
anyone know if theres any point?

Ported headers would make a nice improvement, it's the stainless ones that can reduce power/spool.

bang the turbo on, injectors (possibly), decat, fuel pump, remap and wahoo 330 there you are

headers tend to help torque more than power

Hiya,

Probably best holding back until you upgrade the turbo and supporting mods for 300+bhp, imho.

With a re-map you'll get a big improvement in mid-range torque, but the top-end will always be restricted by the td04, so you're never gonna see more than 280bhp anyway.

Boost threshold on my td04 went from 2500 to 3000rpm when I did mine. Took the 'edge' of the response but I suppose the improved mid-range flexibility kinda made up for it.

got 550 injectors here and a full 3" with sports cat and a 255 already on it so f*** it stick the vf35 on and be done we it just the ecutek remaps gonna wipe me out lol
