sensor question

Default sensor question

Hi all,

Ive got a 95 wrx and just changed the original cat for a 99 typre r one off one of the guys on here (nice one!!) but there is a hole, which i think is for a sensor on the right side of the cat at the top where it meets the turbo and want to know first if it is a sensor and how do i get hold of one to fit the connecter block on the car

hi mate its the lambda sensor hole yours will be in the manifold, it just wants a blanking plug putting in it there only a few quid most good subaru specialists should sort you out or i think you can pick up a sump plug from halfords that fits

Thanks w13dle, there was a sensor on the original cat but it's too small for the new one, i quess just by blanking the hole off the car will run normally?? or is that sensor important for the ecu?
