hi im looking to buy a wr1 test drove one today and was really impressed but when i took keys out of ignition steering wheel lock did not come on asked dealer about it and was told they dont put them on anymore is this right as my 2000 wrx has one thanks

 

so subaru are taking an great piece of security out of a highly nickable car - sounds like b******s to me. All you would need is a tow rope and you'd be able to tow it away!

 

i questioned dealers response and hw was sayin that newer 06 plate imprezas dont have steering lock either so dont no if hes talkin crap or not

Now this is interesting, but then i think subaru are just penny pinching.

I would like to hear the facts from others on this one though. Plus see what the insurance companies think of this.
