Default Help with Boost problem!

I have recently bought a 1995 WRX wagon

Basically it wont full boost,It idles and revs fine and its smooth at about half throttle until it gets over 4,000rpm and as try's to boost more. If I plant the throttle it stutters and backs off and you can see fuel coming out the exhaust behind you.

If you back of the throttle it will go above 4K, if just hold it around 5k you can hear what sounds like a constant boost leak or a similar noise dump valve but constant.

I have started to check some of the hoses and put jublie clips on any hose i think should of had them on which seems to of improved it slightly! I have also tightened the one on the bailey dump valve which looks a bit dirty and oily.

I took the intercooler off and that all looks fine! apart from the samco hose running off the bottom intercooler pipe to the BOV which is too big really and wasn't sealing properly i have put this on properly now.

I also took off the turbo inlet hose but this also seems fine ie no splits or cracks.

Test drove the car but still wont full boost and is struggling to go above 4,000rpm with any boost

I'm a bit at a loss on what to try next!

Thanks in advance for any help

How do you know it's not going to full boost, it might be overboosting... Whack a gauge on it..

Just grab a cheapo from eBay and check what the car is acutally boosting to. From there someone should be able to help further. Otherwise p!ssing in the wind really as it could be many different things.
