ggrr.. still got cold idle issue
Hi folks,
Please help.
I still have a problems with cold idle on my 93wrx.
When cold the revs drop very low when the car comes up to a stop and then the revs hunt and eventually recover to 900ish rpm.
When the car is warm the problem is gone.
The car has new plugs, good coil packs and ive cleaned out the little filter in the ICV under the tap. The ICV seemed OK with no restriction to movement and is clean.
What can I try next? I dont think its maf as the car runs fine when hot and off idle.
Please help.

ok cheers mate, i had read about that before.
i have read somewhere that the ICV spindle should be spring loaded? (take the cream magnet off the top of the ICV and the spingle is revealed) is this true? mine was not spring loaded.
i might try the temp sensor as i have found one on flee bay. i wont pay £40 from the stealers.
Any other ideas please?

does anyone know if the icv is supposed to be spring loaded? this could be the problem.
does the magnet work against the spring only in one direction or can the magnet open and close the oriffice both ways?
